Assalamualaikum and Good Morning... All reader.

Are you looking for property for investment purpose? You can consider a property investment in Setia Alam, if you are looking for a property to invest. It does not matter if you invested in an old house or old condominium. You can always go for a renovation to give the property a new look. With so many kitchen ideas on the websites, you can easily plan for your kitchen remodeling journey. This article will guide you through some kitchen remodeling tips and guide.

1. Planning

First of all, you will need to start planning and do your research on which contractor to engage with and what design to go for. There are many showrooms or home stores available out there for you to have a look on the design and the cost of items. It is also advised that you think about what you need and what you want. Be practical and only buy items that you need. You can also visit Pinterest or any design websites to look for designs that you like. From there, you will then be able to figure out what you can afford and what you need for your remodeling.

2. Setting budgets

Be realistic and only go for things that you can afford. Make sure you prepare a tracksheet or a list of items that you need and their prices. This will prevent you from overspending and bursting your budget. You will also need to consider the hidden costs such as the cost of materials and labor. Shipping costs are included in the hidden costs as well. All these hidden costs can add up to quite a huge sum. So do be careful when you set your remodeling budget. In addition, you will also need to prepare at least 10% of your budget for unplanned expenses that come unexpectedly.

3. Kitchen design & layout

Kitchen is one of the places in the house that you spend most of your time at. Therefore, your kitchen needs to be functional and practical. Plan out your kitchen design and layoung properly to prevent any unwanted problems. Make sure your kitchen layout is accessible and suits your needs. It is recommended to arrange your stove, sink and refrigerator in a triangular pattern for better workflow.

Make sure your counters are big enough to have space for food preparation. You should also leave enough space for traffic flow between the counters and the island, if you have one. This is to ensure there is adequate space in front of your appliances so doors can be opened easily without any problems.

4. Choosing materials

Remember, quality over quantity. As you will be spending majority of your time in the kitchen, make sure you choose the right materials for your kitchen. Opt for solid wood cabinet faces as they last longer. Good quality does not necessarily come with a hefty price tag. You will be amazed to find out that some high end appliances with hefty price tag do not perform better than those that are cheaper in price. Always read the reviews before you buy any appliances. Visit a few appliance shops to compare the prices before you buy them as these appliances do not come cheap. You can also choose to buy online, if the prices are cheaper than buying from physical store. Just make sure that it is a reliable website.

5. Optimizing storage

The kitchen is often one of the most overstuffed places in a home. It is a place where you store your cooking equipment and food storage, hence the lack of storage. If you are going for a kitchen remodelling, make sure you include various storage options that will be functional for you, and at the same time, stylish. Think about how you would like to store you items, utensils, food and other things. For example, you might want to have a cabinet next to the stove for your pots and pans and a pantry for you to store your snacks.

6. Hiring and managing pros

Hiring a professional to help you to remodel your kitchen is a good idea s they are professionals and they have the expertise in kitchen remodeling. They might also offer you some great ideas for your kitchen. Before you sign the contract with the contractor, make sure you have already compared prices among the contractor. However, do note that the cheapest might not always be the best. Quality is an element that you should focus on. Make sure you communicate with you contractors to ensure that you are all on the same page. This will also help to prevent any misunderstanding and unhappy events halfway through the remodelling.

In conclusion, make sure you do your research beforehand to prevent any unnecessary troubles. Take some time to list down the items that you need and visit some physical stores or websites to get inspiration or ideas for your kitchen. Most importantly, spend within your budget.
